This blog begins a project wherein I'll try to give you as on-the-ground a feel of Calvin as possible, in three hundred words or less. Here's a great place to start: a good friend of mine just popped into my room and delivered what may best be described as a quintessentially human poem.
This urgent, forceful poem softened my heart; I have chosen to sponsor his further creativity by lavishing him with the wealth of my own resting room, hoping that such an offer does not take from the well of human yearning which so surely grounded his creative onus.
This sudden artistic event catches me at the end of a day in which I have English, Greek, Mythology, and Latin classes. The night looks long with homework, but the good news is there's Leibniz to read. At least, I think it's good news.
I love the classes I'm taking, and it's the unpredictable moments such as this unexpected dorm poem that keep life extra lively around here.
